About
I am a New York trained licensed massage therapist (1988). Licensed in FL #MA 67330 and NY#004374-1 and Maine #MT7880 My career began while working in a busy physical therapy office from 1985-1998. It was there where I fell in love with bringing athletes to their next level of performance, or helping others recover from injuries, accidents, cardiac and neurological diseases. I loved all of it! In 1986, I attended a 1000 hour (NY required) massage therapy program, graduated, went on to slowly grow a thriving private massage therapy practice. In the 1990s, I went on to expand my knowledge in other holistic fields, such as Floatation (R.E.S.T.), Reiki, Hypnosis and NLP. Each gave me a greater understanding of human behavior and how those behaviors could shift to allow for greater physical, spiritual, financial and mental health. Wanting to bridge traditional health practices with alternative practices, I decided to return college in 2002. Getting a Bachelors Degree in Health Education in 2004, Masters Degree in Health Education in 2006, completed Doctoral Program in Human Sexuality Education and another Masters Degree Human Services from Widener University, PA in 2009, finally helped me integrate my knowledge. One more piece was missing. How do I bring it all to my clients? In 2011, I studied with Wellcoaches and the United States Health Foundation to become a Health Coach. My education, combined with four decades of clinical experience, allows me to see the whole person, not just the muscles. True health and wellness happens when the physical, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual dimensions are explored, nurtured, and brought into harmony. I use a spiritual, intellectual, and compassionate approach which creates safety and trust. People are then able to connect with their body’s natural inner wisdom and healing. My work is individualized, focused and intentional. Whether it is physical recovery, rehabilitation, pain relief, performance, strength, muscular relaxation emotional wellbeing or spiritual peace, I help clients move closer towards their overall health goals. It is an honor to work with clients in this way. The massage table has been the bridge where my education, philosophy, and experience come together and I am forever grateful!
